Beach Day!

Join us at the beach near the Union Ave. entrance. Street parking (you may have to walk about a half dozen blocks to get to beach). No bathrooms. Porta potties are located on the corner of Union Ave and Ocean Ave. (2-3 blocks from beach).

Nancy, Clay, Warren and Megan will bring as many umbrellas, towels and chairs as we can.

Bring your own lunch, drinks, snacks.

This beach is very crowded in the summer so please plan to arrive early (mid-morning if possible).

Palace Playland (archades, rides) and the pier (beer, beer, beer) are about a half mile walk down the beach.

No charge for parking/beach.

Rain or Shine!

We have the picnic shelter reserved from 3 pm to sundown. There are plenty of picnic tables but no running water. There are porta-potties in the parking lot.

The park has a nice path for walking, a 'fort' that's fun to explore, a children's garden, a preschool playground and, of course, the light house. (not a swimming place) Great place to bring frisbee or set up croquet.

Ft. Williams is about 25 minutes from Nancy & Ed's home in Scarborough and about 35 mintues from Old Orchard Beach.
